Research Targets

Based on the principles of physics, our laboratory uses techniques from theoretical physics and computational science to determine the underlying mechanisms of phenomena in nature. We then apply this knowledge to predict undiscovered phenomena and to explore materials with innovative functions. By developing quantum theory of matter, we are expanding the frontiers of theoretical physics and computational science, and consequently contributing to advances in basic science. Our research projects can be divided into three categories.
